The Impact of Giving: A Donation of Any Amount Makes a Difference

Nov 27, 2023

November has long been recognized as a month of giving. It marks the official start of the holiday season and is a time to reflect on all of the things for which we’re grateful. For over a decade, ‘Giving Tuesday’ has become an important day for nonprofit organizations and a significant event on the fundraising calendar globally.

What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday traditionally takes place annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. In 2023, it falls on Tuesday, November 28.

The generosity movement of Giving Tuesday has become an internationally recognized occasion and a global day of giving. It is a day dedicated to raising awareness for worthy causes and encourages holiday shoppers to contribute a portion of their usual holiday spend towards making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Where Does a Donation to PFRPA’s Greater Good Fund Go?
Through PFRPA’s 501(c)(3) charitable foundation, the Greater Good Fund, your tax-deductible donation of any amount will assist in providing retired NFL players with impactful benefits, including dental and vision care, as well as supporting programs to ensure their legacy is preserved.

Your Contribution will:
  • Make a direct impact on the lives of retired NFL players and their families, to ensure they receive the care and support they deserve following their playing career.
  • Help PFRPA to sustain the Benefits and Programs available and provide continuous improvement to these resources.
  • Enable the growth and development of new opportunities to better the lives of retired NFL players both personally and professionally.
How To Make a Donation
This Giving Tuesday, consider giving a one-time gift or a monthly recurring contribution to PFRPA’s Greater Good Fund. A donation of as little as $5 per month can make a big difference. Whether you want to honor the NFL retiree in your life or simply show your support as a fan, your tax-deductible donation is a way to give back in appreciation of those who built the game.
