PFRPA at Super Bowl LX Week
Feb 24, 2026
San Francisco was buzzing earlier this month, as Super Bowl LX week unfolded in the Bay Area! Throughout a busy few days, the PFRPA team connected with PFRPA members, retired NFL players, strategic partners and media while expanding awareness of our benefits, programs and initiatives.
Take a look at some of PFRPA’s highlights from the week!
Kickoff Event
To launch Super Bowl LX week, PFRPA, in collaboration with Hall of Fame Health and The Golden Heart Fund, hosted a special Kickoff Event at the San Francisco Marriott Union Square. The event brought together PFRPA members, Hall of Famers, retired NFL players, corporate partners and strategic alliances for an evening of connection and celebration.
It was a great way to start the week in San Francisco, bringing so many people from across the country in one room. Thank you to the event sponsor, Medtronic, for supporting this special night.
The PFRPA Member Engagement Suite
PFRPA hosted the PFRPA Member Engagement Suite during Super Bowl week for the third year in a row, providing a gathering space exclusively for retired NFL players from Thursday to Saturday.
The Suite allowed retired NFL players and their families to relax; speak with PFRPA staff about their benefits; and learn more about the offerings provided by PFRPA’s sponsors. Those who attended the Suite were also able to enjoy light snacks; play a game of cornhole; and test their skills on the putting green.
On the final day, PFRPA Board Member Ahman Green hosted his podcast live from the Suite, where he interviewed PFRPA Member Jeff Hatch. The live recording added another dynamic layer to the Suite, capturing PFRPA member stories in real time with an organic backdrop of ongoing conversations and engagement amongst visitors.
It was great to meet so many PFRPA members and retired NFL players throughout the week. We hope everyone who stopped by the Suite enjoyed their time to reconnect and recharge!
A big thank you to Golden Gate Sponsor Regen Therapy and PFRPA Gold Sponsor Virta Health for the support they provided to make the PFRPA Member Engagement Suite a resounding success.

PFRPA attended this highly valuable panel discussion hosted by The Football Players Health Study at Harvard University, focusing on important topics such as chronic pain, cardiovascular resilience and mental health.
In addition to the key insights discussed around each of these topics, an emphasis on the importance of advocacy for former NFL players was highlighted, to ensure they receive appropriate benefits, treatment and resources once they retire.

PFRPA attended the Leigh Steinberg Super Bowl Party, where it was great to learn about brain health and health innovation technology at the 13th Annual Brain Health Summit. PFRPA Member Engagement Suite Sponsor Regen Therapy was also featured on an insightful educational panel hosted by PFRPA Strategic Alliance Partner Hall of Fame Health.
The event also honored Retired NFL Players Ray Lewis and Martin Nance, presenting them with Steinberg DeNicola Humanitarian Awards, recognizing their significant contributions as members of the NFL community and the positive social impact they have made beyond football.
Media and Radio Row
At the Media Center, Radio Row was bustling with activity as local and international media outlets produced live broadcasts and podcasts throughout each day of Super Bowl LX week. PFRPA Board Chair Darrell Thompson and PFRPA Board Member Ahman Green spoke with media throughout the week to drive further awareness about PFRPA and advocate for retired NFL players.
Thompson joined Roy Kessell at Sports Philanthropy Network to speak about PFRPA’s benefits, programs and initiatives offered to retired NFL players. Green sat down with Dave Wyman and Bob Stelton of Seattle Sports 710 to discuss PFRPA’s mission, as well as talk about the importance of the PFRPA Member Engagement Suite and how retired NFL players can access the benefits available to them. Green also joined The Bill Michaels Show on February 6 to talk about PFRPA as well as life after football.
Thank you to all PFRPA Members, retired NFL players, partners and supporters who engaged with PFRPA throughout Super Bowl LX week! It was a pleasure connecting with so many in-person in San Francisco, as each day presented new opportunities to make an impact and advance PFRPA’s mission to preserve the legacy of retired NFL players.
